He earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Florida (UF), where he also subsequently earned his Doctor of Medicine. Following his graduate studies, he returned to UF for a residency in general surgery. In his final year at UF, he was recognized as Chief Resident. Once he completed his residency at Florida, he completed a residency in plastic surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). As a result of his extensive surgical training and expertise, Dr. Gardner has gained membership to several prominent medical associations, including the American Society of Plastic Surgery, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
